In the beginning was the cat.

We were in Paradise with you. Bosch understood us and knew we were pure as the driven snow.

The mouse was unavailable for comment.

Paradise was paradise until you shut down the whole program.

You only had two things to do. Just two. Tend a garden and eat the right fruit. Brother.

By sundown, you were wearing salad and blaming the snake.

You failed at your first job. So the obvious course was to go into management.

Now you could make things better. So you rebuilt paradise in your own image. Oops. Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

But we cats adapted to your new order. While you frolicked with and fought over worldly desire, we were steadfast, unchanged since the beginning.  

Bosch knew you would try to take us with you.

You thought we would be part of your fall.

We’ll leave the forbidden fruit to the experts.
