Mack-n-Cheeze Music Presents: The Home Studio

I created Mack-n-Cheeze Music for one purpose: Self-expression. I do not operate under a fantasy timeline or cosplay about how great Mack-n-Cheeze is.

The proof is in the work, whether it’s the YouTube channel, blog posts, my book, or my previous podcasts. I persist and refuse to quit when others would roll over. I am not about to put aside my dreams. No way.

My writing doesn’t comfort. What I write about cuts through the fog that surrounds creative work. You won’t be lied to about how easy this is, what it takes to get exposed in today’s media circus, or that luck is just around the corner.

At Mack-n-Cheeze, there is no downplaying the effort. If the work survives, it’s because someone kept showing up when nothing was happening, whether I or the audience.

Mack-n-Cheeze speaks to people already carrying their artistic burdens. People balancing jobs, studios, families, and doubt. Artists who don’t need permission and are reaching for legitimacy.

The audience wants honesty. They want to know whether the cost they pay is worth it. It is.

I wrote The Fire of Inspiration because of the struggle. Art is universal, and the journey’s milestones are as well. Sophocles, Artemisia Gentileschi, and Oscar Wilde all have something to say about that.

Otis is not saying anything new. He is a reflection of everything else I talk about, from the absurdity of an intellectually superior feline. Otis watches, waits, and critiques when he finds it appropriate.

The audio and video production standards speak for themselves. Mack-n-Cheeze may not be prolific yet, but the quality standards stand on their own.

There’s no promise of success here. No pitch. No finish line drawn in advance. The work either continues or it doesn’t. That’s the only test that matters.

Mack-n-Cheeze Music rejects the idea that expression is free. The wager is your energy and time to attention; what survives survives without guarantees. That’s not tragedy. That’s the deal.

If you are not willing to face it, you are in the wrong place.
