Folksy Wisdom

Wisdom

Where there is a will there is a way. Sometimes I’m just operating on pure faith.

Build it and they will come. A wise Chinese person said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

Don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched. I’ve got great expectations. The only thing I can control is process. I’m not able to control outcome.

Don’t let the cat out of the bag. How does this apply? Maybe if I’m planning a surprise party or trying to bury the nefarious shadow part of my soul. I am happy to share anything I know or can do. I know there are secrets. Where do I find them? How to do stuff, DIY, instructional You Tube videos, all of it is out there to grab.

A stitch in times saves nine. I’m not much on mending. I understand the concept. This applies to relationships. Many times my foot ends up in my mouth. I try to be as sincerely apologetic as possible; my intent is not to be cruel, just funny.

Sometimes I can’t see the forest for the trees. Do you get caught up in details which often times distract from the process and goal? Often I have to re-examine priorities; deadlines are important. Accountability to quality and accuracy supersedes timeliness. Sometimes not.

More Wisdom

A bird in hand is worth two in the bush. Super important to be content with what I have. After completing a task go to the next.

Try walking in my shoes. Or even worse, try getting into my head. I try to see things from the perspective of others.

The early bird gets the worm. How about those campers getting in line for those concert tickets?

Birds of a feather, flock together. I love hanging around people who think like I do. My People, my people, these are my people.

You can’t change the past. Nothing lasts forever, and it never does.

There’s always another fish in the sea. My girlfriend left me and Dad tried to help. Awe, the hopes and dreams of youth.

Laugh and the world laughs with you; cry and you cry alone. The joy and pain of love.

Any port in a storm. That didn’t work either. Enough about girl friends.

You Getting Smart Yet?

It’s all water under the bridge. Those things that divided us, that’s not important anymore.

No pain, no gain. Why, if I had a dollar for every time…yep, driving a Lamborghini.

Out of sight, out of mind. Buried under my desk’s clutter are many important tasks. They need tending to. Or do they?

It is more blessed to give than receive.

Can we help?
