You think I nap all day? Who do you think I am?
I’ve lived nine lives, each one a masterclass in creation. Who are you?
In my first life, I was a musician. Played silence better than Miles played space. Most players don’t understand music is the silence between the notes. They fill space with noise.
Second life, I was a painter. The world was my canvas, the litter box my palette. Jackson Pollock? Are you kidding? Texture and grit are my patina.
Third, I dance. Agness DeMille? Baryshnikov? Hah! Every leap, every twist of my tail is pure improvisation. Not choreography. Instinct.
The fourth life? I sculpted. Not in Stone. In the fabric of air. My tools? Whiskers. Michelangelo said he freed the angel from the marble. I freed movement from stillness.
Fifth, I wrote poetry. Four lines. My work still circulates on the wind; a thing of beauty: “The bird sings / I yawn / Both of us / Mean it.”
Sixth? I was a chef. A created a dish called Sunlight Caught In Fur. Ever had it? Didn’t think so.
Seventh, I designed architecture. Every nap spot, every window perch, perfect geometry. Form follows function; function follows feline.
Eighth, I declared Furlosophy. Entire civilizations rose and fell while I spoke to the moon. None of them got it right, but that’s not my fault. Interpretation is a human fault.
And my ninth life, my favorite. I am the master of doing nothing. The blank page, the still mind, the perfect pause. Every masterpiece begins in the quiet.
So don’t talk to me about “finding your muse.” I am the muse.
