“Haze Of Doubt” is a descent into the blurry spaces where identity slips, reflections lie, and nothing feels quite your own. Born from a spark in our mastermind group, this project unfolded in layers, each artist adding their own shadow and shape to the fog.
The Mastermind Group
This song started as a spark from Jeff Fried—a subtle, moody progression that hinted at something more profound. In our mastermind group, ideas don’t just float; they ignite. From that seed, we built the rhythm section live at my studio: Christophe Bourdoiseau on bass, Jeff on keys, me (Bryan DeHart) on drums, and Adam Puchalski laying down guitar while Ekello Harrid cut the scratch vocals. With Eric Ritts overseeing us with arrangement critiques.
From there, Adam took over post-production, mixing, and mastering. He sculpted the raw tracks into something haunted, cinematic, and urgent.
Collaboration is not a luxury; it is the entire engine. Every one of us brought something vital, something no AI, algorithm, or solo grind could have manufactured. This wasn’t about showing off chops, though the skillset was there. This was more about chasing that feeling. That doubt. That disconnect. The haze.
